To access 《文淵閣四庫全書網上版》, the database search software must be installed on your computer. Software is available for Microsoft Windows XP and newer.

140 MB Hard Drive space (for client program and font installation)
1024 x 768 Resolution with 32768(15bit) or above color display
Microsoft Windows XP (Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, English, Japanese or Korean version) (already updated to Service Pack 2)
East Asian Language Support installed (*Please refer to 5.Technical Support)
Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0
Microsoft Windows Installer 3.1 and Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0
Access to the Internet, with an ON-campus HKUST IP address

Double-click on the downloaded siku-setupXXX.exe file to run the installation program. The installation will take some time.
Refer to the matching Client Program Installation Guide as needed.

Note that the vendor only provides a Traditional Chinese version of this manual.
Run the 《文淵閣四庫全書網上版》 Program and select IP 登入.
Please remember that HKUST's 《文淵閣四庫全書網上版》 license allows only one (1) simultaneous user. Please be courteous to other users by logging out as soon as your searches are completed, since our access is for only one user at a time.
Please also remember that this database program will only work from an ON-campus IP address.
