This guide answers questions frequently asked at the HKUST Library.

Where can I copy and print?

The Library provides two types of printers to support wireless printing and printing from library computers.

ITSC Satellite printer (Payment is made by your HKUST print budget)
Octopus-operated Printers (find the charge and user guide here)

Can I print from my laptop?

Yes, read the wireless printing instructions https://library.hkust.edu.hk/services/facilities/copying-printing-scanning/#wireless.

Where can I scan?

Scanning is available at all public copiers on G/F, LG1 and LG4 (near lift lobby). To scan a document from an ITSC satellite printer, refer to ITSC Printing Facilities for details.
A smart desktop scanner is available at the Information Commons.
You can save the scanned documents to your USB flash drive.
Scanning is free of charge.

How to set the printer to print on both sides, choose color printing, or multiple-page-in-one?

Use the "printer properties" dialog box to choose the setting.
