  • Outlines alternative approaches and establishes that your innovation represents the best solution
  • Evaluates your innovation in terms of benefits and limitations
  • Includes appropriate graphics
  • 1,500 to 1,700 words

  • Understand the characteristics of different types of information sources:
    1. General popular sources: Newspaper, Magazines
    2. Scholarly sources: Academic journals
    3. Technical sources: Patents
  • Analyze your information (research) needs and brainstorm for ideas 
  • Choose appropriate search tools to find relevant sources
  • Develop effective search strategies
  • Name some important criteria and methods to use when critically evaluating sources
  • Use other people's work legally and ethically
    • Respect copyright & intellectual property right
    • Begin to be able to create IEEE style citations to give credit for ideas (avoid plagarism)
