When scanning the article to determine if it is suitable for my assignment or writing task, ask:

• What is the purpose of the study (why the article was written)?
• How does this article relate to my research topic?
• What are the conclusions or findings of the study? Do I agree or disagree and why?
• Will this article contribute to my research argument?
